Beef Kabobs with Parmesan Orzo

  • 1 cup orzo
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil or parsley, divided
  • 2 tablespoons shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 2 red and/or yellow bell peppers, cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 1 tablespoon Italian salad dressing
  • 2 cloves garlic, coarsely chopped
  • 1 pound HORMELĀ® Garlic Pepper Beef Strip Steaks


  1. Cook orzo according to package directions; drain.
  2. In medium bowl, stir together orzo, 1 tablespoon basil, the cheese and oil; keep warm.
  3. Prepare grill for medium heat. Soak 8 (8-inch) bamboo skewers in water 10 minutes.
  4. Cut steak into 1 1/4-inch pieces. In large bowl, toss together beef, bell peppers, remaining 1 tablespoon basil, the dressing and garlic. Alternately thread beef and bell peppers onto skewers.
  5. Grill kabobs, turning occasionally, 8 to 10 minutes for medium-rare to medium doneness. Serve with orzo.
